Elementary Age Requirements:

• Kindergarten - Child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1
• VPK - Child must turn 4 years old on or before September 1* (VPK Certificate required)
• PK-3 - Child must turn 3 years old on or before September 1*

*Capacity is limited at each school. Applications are processed in the order they are received. Enrollment is NOT guaranteed.

Elementary Placement Appeals Window

FALL

Opens: Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.

Closes: Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

SPRING

Opens: Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.

Closes: Friday, May 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

During this window, parents or guardians of elementary students currently enrolled in SRE, SPE, SSE will be able to appeal the placement and submit a request to change elementary schools for the 2023-2024 school year, if desired. The application will be available online in the Focus Student Information System. Please include any information necessary to justify the move in the application.

The School Choice Enrollment Committee will then meet to determine if change requests will be able to be made. Parents or guardians will be notified via email within two weeks of the closing date.
