The Suwannee County School District held its 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year & School Related Employee of the Year Banquet dinner on January 16, 2018 in the Phillips Dining Hall at Advent Christian Village.

The banquet kicked off with Suwannee High’s Malcolm Hines and Tammy Boggus being named Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year.

Professional Development Council Chairperson, Jennifer Wooley, then announced Stephanie Williams from Suwannee Primary School as the District School Related Employee of the Year. Upon winning the award, Williams said, "I am honored to be recognized and awarded for something I love doing. Whether I am being their voice in time of need, their cheerleader in times of achievement, holding their hand for guidance or providing my lap in times of pain I will always be my best for the children I love. I am truly grateful for this award."

Suwannee Education Foundation Board Member, Buddy Williams, announced Lynsee Dicks from Branford Elementary School as the District Teacher of the Year. Dicks says, “In the world of education, it is a blessing to serve alongside teachers here in Suwannee County. They are an exemplary faculty who pour heart and soul into our children. Each one of you is a ‘Teacher of the Year’ to your students. I am humbled and grateful to be able to represent this elite group of educators.”
