The Suwannee High School Agriculture Program received a $50,000 donation from Pilgrim’s Pride on August 17, 2021.

According to Pilgrim’s Pride, “Our company values are the lens through which we view our role in the communities where we live and work. Throughout the global pandemic, our team members and our communities have looked to us for reassurance that we can - and will - get through this crisis. Through the Hometown Strong initiative, Pilgrim's invested $50,000 in Suwannee High School to improve the ag center. We believe this will have a lasting impact in our community for generations to come.”

SHS FFA Advisor Travis Tuten says, “We are very thankful for the generous donation that Pilgrim's has made to our program. I believe that it will make a positive impact on the Suwannee High Ag and FFA programs. We are blessed to have local businesses and community members that support our program. Pilgrim's has always been a big supporter and always there when we need something.”

SHS FFA Advisor Katie Quincey says, “Since I started working for Suwannee County it has been a dream to have a place for our students to keep their projects and Pilgrim’s made that dream a reality.  I would like to thank Pilgrim’s Pride for not only their monetary support, but for investing in every Agriscience students that sets foot in our classes for years to come.”
