Suwannee Primary School (SPS), in partnership with Rotary Club of Live Oak, held Purple Pinkie Day on October 12, 2017.

Purple Pinkie Day helps raise awareness about the Polio disease and how to can prevent it. 

Rotarians and Suwannee High School Interact students painted students pinkie purple.

The reason for the purple pinkie is when a child is vaccinated for Polio the vaccinator paints purple ink on to the pinkie finger nail of the left hand.
