Suwannee Intermediate School (SIS) and Principal Gary Caldwell hosted two different events recently to build a connection with the school and its parents. "Doughnuts with Mom" and "Doughnuts with Dad" were held to have parents spend quality time with their children in a school setting.

The event was not limited to just parents; grandfathers, uncles, stepdads, grandmothers, aunts, stepmoms were all encouraged to attend. Denetria Brown, Mother of graduating senior Steven Anderson, and Suwannee High School Principal Malcom Hines were guest speakers at the school, both delivering personal testimonies about raising children. Academic Coach at SIS Marica Boatright says, “It was a great event, and the first in what is sure to be a new tradition here at SIS.”
