A recent inspection of the Suwannee County School District Offices located at 702 2nd St. NW, Live Oak, Florida, has revealed that the building’s condition has deteriorated to such an extent that relocation of personnel is required. The employees currently working at this address will be dispersed temporarily to other locations. We are working to avoid interruption in services to the general public and district schools.

Effective Monday, July 24, 2017, the new address for the Suwannee County School District Offices will be 1729 Walker Avenue, SW, Suite 200, Live Oak, Florida 32064. If you are traveling south on Walker Avenue toward Suwannee Middle School, the location is on the left, just before you reach the main entrance to the school. District Office functions will begin at this address at 7:00 a.m. on Monday and will continue with regular summer business hours. Phone numbers for these offices will not change but may be temporarily interrupted during the transition.

Specifically, the inspection found that site drainage, building leakage, and moisture readings within the interior of the building and foundation have caused environmental concerns. The health, safety, and general well-being of the employees who work in this building are of paramount importance to the leadership and School Board of Suwannee County School District.

We will be exploring all options for a new permanent location and are focused on using land already owned by the District. Please direct all inquiries about our relocation to the Superintendent’s office.
