Suwannee Intermediate School (SIS) completed its two-day math boot camp on July 12 in the SIS Media Center.
The math boot camp was free for students to attend and it focused on helping students to improve on their next FSA/ELA Assessment.
Theda Roper led a group of about 30 students through a series of activities based around multiplying. In addition to working on their multiplying, students worked on place values, order of operations, and clustering.
Laptops were used some during the two-day boot camp. SIS Principal Gary Caldwell says the laptops were used so students can learn about these websites and continue to practice on their own outside of the two-day camp.
Caldwell says there will be one more two-day boot camp coming up which will focus on language arts. Check back on the Suwannee County School District (SCSD) website or like the SCSD Facebook page to stay up to date on when the language arts boot camp will take place.
