The Suwannee High School (SHS) HOSA Club held their banquet in the SHS Cafeteria on May 8, 2019.

HOSA Advisor Megan Roush welcomed those in attendance and explained what HOSA is. Roush thanked the sponsors who helped support HOSA this year and listed off the various competitions HOSA did this past year.

Roush recognized the 2018-2019 HOSA officers, presented them with their pin, and stole.  The following individuals served as a HOSA officer during the 2018-2019 year:

President: Sarah McWaters

Vice President: Skylar Kirby

Secretary: Baylor Burch

Treasurer: Melissa Ernst

Competition Chairperson: Justin Garcia

McWaters and Kirby both gave speeches and encouraged the younger members of HOSA to become as involved in the club as they could.

Roush introduced the 2019-2020 officers; the following individuals will serve as a HOSA officer during the 2019-2020 year:

President: Taylor Royals

Vice President: Lily Lamb

Secretary: Shelby Blackmon

Treasurer: Rutvi Shukla

Competition Chairperson: Victoria Marshall

Roush says, "I have had such an amazing time working with these kids this year.  HOSA is an awesome club that 'plants the seed' of love for healthcare in these kids that continues to grow throughout their careers.  I am so grateful I get the opportunity to be a part of that."
