RIVEROAK Technical College is offering a community education class on computer basics. Classes will begin on Thursday, September 1st, and will go on for the next six Thursday evenings. Classes held every Thursday night will be from 5:30-7:30 pm.

The cost to attend all six classes is $50, however if you would like to attend individual classes and not all six, it would be $10 per class attended.

Classes will go over the following topics:

Class 1 - Hardware, Operating, & Software

Class 2 - Getting the most out of word processing software and email

Class 3 - Making Excel work for you

Class 4 - The World Wide Web; Understanding web browsers, search engines, and how to use the internet effectively

Class 5 - Social Media: types, purposes, and uses

Class 6 - Security: How to keep yourself and your equipment safe
