The FSA/ELA Assessment Boot Camp wrapped up their second and final day at Suwannee Intermediate School (SIS) on June 29.

SIS teacher Jessica Davis led the way these last two days while students worked on their writing abilities and developing prompts.

Today, the students wrote half of an essay by themselves in a timed setting. Students wrote about elephants and worked independently on their introduction paragraph and developing their three reasons with supporting details.

Once the students wrote their essays, they received a "Tips and tricks for success" sheet, which included steps to take to be successful when writing or taking tests.

SIS principal Gary Caldwell says there will be similar boot camps later this summer. Boot camps will be held for both mathematics and science.

Check the Suwannee County School District Facebook page or the District's website for more information on additional boot camps.
