Suwannee Primary School (SPS) welcomed the Florida Wildlife Conservation (FWC) to campus on April 21 to take part in a “Fish and Game Day.”

Activities were spread out throughout the day for the children’s enjoyment. Children learned about various animals in our area including bears, snakes, and alligators. FWC also stressed the importance of boating safety to the children during their talks.

Students especially enjoyed a visit from the FWC’s canine dog named “Chase.” Chase is used within the FWC for his ability to track and locate with his sense of smell.

SPS assistant principal Lisa Garrison says, “Our students are so blessed to be able to learn about the wildlife in our area from our very own FWC Officers. Thank you, again, FWC. I think the faculty and staff had a great time, too.”
