The Suwannee High School (SHS) Culinary Arts Program received a $115,000 donation from Pilgrim's Pride on November 9, 2021.

SHS Culinary Arts Teacher, Kary Black, says, "The money donated by Pilgrim's Pride will go towards the complete remodel of the SHS Culinary Classroom. The new materials and appliances purchased will all be commercial grade which will now allow the students to learn and use the equipment they are being tested on for their Servsafe certification test."

Black added, "The SHS Culinary Program is extremely honored to receive this grant from Pilgrim's Pride.  The remodel will help further prepare our students for careers in the food service industry.  Our hope is that with the remodel our students will be able to learn and use the equipment they are being tested on for their Servsafe Certification.  Thank you to Pilgrim's Pride and their generous donation to the Suwannee High School culinary program.  We would also like to thank our assistant Principal Katrina Bius for working hard to make this happen."
