RIVEROAK Technical College (RTC) sent 18 students to participate in the SkillsUSA state of Florida competition in Pensacola, Florida.

Of the 18 total students, RTC returned with six students winning medals:

Gold-1st Place-Masonry: Olivia Bruening

Gold-1st Place-Restaurant Service: Nick Wallace

Gold-1st Place-Carpentry: Ezra Woloszyn

Silver-2nd Place-Collision Repair Technology: Justin Cunningham

Silver-2nd Place-Early Childhood Education: Jasmen Garling

Bronze-3rd Place-Masonry: Benjamin Snyder

With their first place finish, Bruening, Wallace, and Woloszyn will represent RIVEROAK Technical College and the state of Florida at the SkillsUSA National Competition held in Louisville, Kentucky.

For the second consecutive year, RIVEROAK will send multiple students to the SkillsUSA National Competition. Bruening was one of the two RTC students who competed in last year’s National Competition while Woloszyn and Wallace will be attending their first national competition.
