Ed daSilva was elected to the Suwannee County School Board in 2010. He is a 1983 graduate of Suwannee High School and a 1989 graduate of the University of Florida. He is married to Tara and they have three children, Kristen, Ryan, and Tyler.
Mr. daSilva is a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He is a recreation league soccer and baseball coach. He has served as a children's therapist, behavioral therapist for the chronically mentally handicapped, lifeskills training educator, Big Brothers/Big Sisters case manager, certified correctional law enforcement officer, and social services counselor for the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs.
