On October 22, 2019 the Branford High School FFA Land Lab was officially named the “Willie Veal Land Lab” in honor of Willie Veal. Mr. Veal taught agriculture at BHS and was very influential to the FFA program. Veal previously received the Florida FFA Honorary Member, which is the highest award one can receive at the state level. BHS FFA President Barrett Young says, “Thank you Mr. Veal for your continued service to Branford FFA and for being a role model to young members and advisors everywhere.”
Young was not the only one to praise Veal for his time and effort to Branford FFA. District 1 Board Member Jerry Taylor said, “Mr. Veal gave his life to the school and the students.”
