Are you aware that an estimated 600 million pairs of shoes go into America’s landfills? Surprisingly the majority of these shoes can still be worn.

The Class of 2025 at Branford High School would like to help reduce landfill waste by sponsoring a community wide shoe drive. The shoes that are collected will not be placed in landfills and will help those in developing countries start micro-businesses that will create a sustainable income for their families.

Through this community effort the Class of 2025 will promote environmental awareness as well as raise money for ongoing class activities.
