The Business and Finance class at Suwannee High School (SHS) visited Subway to observe a franchise in action.

This class is a part of the Finance Academy and has been learning about the different ways that businesses can be organized.

Members of the class learned that franchises such as Subway are privately owned but must follow guidelines set forth by the parent company. This includes the general look and design of the dining area and same menu. In return, the private owner gets to operate and advertise using the well known name of the franchise.
