RIVEROAK Technical College (RTC) hosted a graduation for the five graduating students from the 2015-2016 Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program at the RTC Student Center.

The ceremony began with Mary Pate welcoming all in attendance, followed by Jessica Childs introducing special guests. Maureen Parnell and Eliece Allred then recited the poem, “Only a CNA?”

           

Following the reading of “Only a CNA?”, Superintendent of Schools Ted Roush and Principal of RTC Walter Boatright presented the graduating students their certificates. The graduating students were: Mary Pate, Jessica Childs, Maureen Parnell, Eliece Allred, and Mayhala Shefbuch.

           

Special awards were given out to two students at the conclusion of the certificate presentation. The outstanding academic award went to Mary Pate for having the highest GPA in the class, and the outstanding clinical award went to Maureen Parnell for her exceptional work in clinicals.

           

PCT Instructor Traci Thompson, says “I am extremely proud of the PCT class. They have persevered and seized every moment and opportunity to perform above expectations. Congratulations on a job well done, and good luck in the future.”
